| 1 Most cups are wider at the top than mugs and accommodate a greater range of dunking biscuits without breaking them in two - which is a really upsetting thing to have to do
2 The narrowing shape of cups stops you dunking the biscuit too far and risking total collapse - the ultimate nightmare

One thingthat I think should be mentioned whilst talking about the legendary Custard Cream, in my opinion the "Holy Grail" of the biscuit world is that rather than simply taking them apart, as you discuss, you can take two apart, dunk the sides that managed to separate themselves from the cream and then stick the two creamy halves together to produce a kind of double cream custard cream as a sort of "pudding biscuit" for the post-dunk comedown

| Those delightfully sickening Fig Rolls from Happy Shopper (a 200g packet is a barftastic amount during a one cuppa tea dunking session as I've discovered) are arranged in vertical 'soldier' formation, which impresses as the syrupy fig paste remains stolidly, nay stubbornly in the pastry parcel and not splurted or strewn across the enclosing cardboard package. more.. |
