Several problems here. First we don't sell biscuits we just review them. Second it appears from your mail and your desired biscuit that you visited Germany, and we are based in the UK. Good luck with your quest, perhaps if you have the wrappers left you can contact whoever makes them and see if they have a US importer. |

Hi,
My colleagues and I have just been having a heated debate and wondered if you could clear something up for us.
If the Kit-Kat is a chocolate covered biscuit, is the chunky kit-kat still a chocolate covered biscuit or has it made a successful transition to fully-fledged chocolate bar?

| Nicey replies: Yes I can see how this is can be troubling. The KitKat has always been ambivalent about what it is, preferring to sit on the fence. Of course it would appear that with the chunky they have firmly aligned themselves with the chocolate bars, and in doing so cast doubt amongst those who would call the conventional KitKat a biscuit. Personally I don't feel the need to make hard and fast calls on the KitKat's nature. The big Venn diagram of biscuits would simply move the chunky KitKat out of the union of chocolate bars and chocolate covered biscuits, into chocolate bars. It could still sit next to its forbearers though so that it doesn't look too dramatic. |

My former employers prevented us from having a nice cuppa by confiscating the kettle from our own staff kitchen. The reasoning was that we hadn't been trained in using a kettle - oh dear! As a result we were forced to experience the wrath of the vending machine and the tea tasted strangely of fish.

Dear Nicey,
I only recently became aware of NCOTAASD, was immediately engrossed in the world of tea and biscuits, then on reflection felt a guilty pang. Please can you tell me, am I normal or a heathen? Whenever I have the tea and biscuits to hand there comes an overwhelming desire to dunk. Be it chocolate digestive, Jacobs Crackers or Bourbon they each receive a dunk of apprpriate length before consumption. I give my name but hope you will not be too harsh in condemnation. | Nicey replies: That's perfectly normal urge in somebody your age, and nothing to be ashamed of. It might help you to get over your embarrassment if you were to meet other people with an interest in dunking, perhaps a visit to a local cafe or tea bar. |
